We had lunch before visiting the Giza pyramids (as opposed to having it after the visits), which I think is better, not only because it gives a nice energy boost, but also because you get to the pyramids slightly later in the day so the light is nicer. He will give you the possibility to go on on a camel or horse ride to access areas with better views of the pyramids.So, would I do it again with Mohammed? Absolutely.

He was able to answer all our questions. It was such a pleasure choosing this as our tour for the day.

ADVICE : (For groups with children) We had a group tour of 15 people but 6 were children. This tour has A LOT to do in 9 hours and children slow it down. Wasn’t Ally’s fault, he tried to keep us on track. But it was hot and they got tired.

(FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS): ALSO, if you plan on taking a ton of photos this would not be a good trip for you. It’s fast paced and full of great information so photographers beware. We had one of these in our group that also slowed us down. Split this into more than one day.

Mohamed Ali’s knowledge of Egyptian history is exhaustive. He is truly skilled and full of important details — and he is happy to answer any question you may have about ancient Egyptian historical sights and even more recent history. Importantly, Mohamed Ali manages to provide this information in an engaging and exciting fashion. We have three young children and we worried they would become bored with a full day of touring, but they were quite the opposite! My kids kept saying how they loved the tour and didn’t want the day to end. We recommend Mohamed Ali highly to any friends and family taking any sort of tour of Egypt. He is passionate about what he does, very positive, knowledgeable and fun to talk to for an extended period. Moreover, he isn’t trying to get you to buy a lot of items from local vendors like some tour guides try to do. He gives the BEST tour and attends to everything for his guests. His driver was great, too. You cannot go wrong with his tours! We hope to come back to Egypt and tour with him again!!
